OPP MAKE ARREST IN MARIHUANA CASE

(Prince Edward County, ON) – On October 30, 2014 at 10:03am officers with the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Canine Unit and Prince Edward County detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a West Mary Street home in the Town of Picton.
Police seized a quantity of marihuana and hashish, a street value of approximately $6500.00. Police also seized, cash, firearms and related drug paraphernalia.
OPP arrested a 41-year old male, David LLOYD of Picton, ON and a 42-year old female, Judith Allen of Toronto, ON. Both parties are charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Both accused were released from police custody on a promise to appear and officer in charge undertaking and are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on November 26, 2014.
