(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of construction tools that were taken from a pick-up truck.
Initial investigation indicates that the tools were removed from the vehicle while it was parked at the Oakwood Community Centre and Arena on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The owner did not notice that the tools were missing until arriving at a work site the following morning. The tonneau cover was damaged on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Stolen from the vehicle were construction tools, including a jack hammer, nail gun and chop saw. It is believed that the value of the tools is between $3 000 and $5 000.
