(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 1:23 a.m. on Sunday the 19th of January 2014, an officer from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle parked in the parking lot at Cardiff Elementary School on Short Street in Cardiff, Ontario. During the investigation, the officer observed a firearm in the vehicle.
As a result of the incident, 23 year old Curtis BEAUDRIE of Cardiff, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with:
Careless use of a firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Breach of a firearm regulation
Mr. BEAUDRIE was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 15th of April 2014.
