(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – At 12:30pm on May 7, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to an elderly male that had wandered off from his residence in the former Verulam Township.
Initial investigation revealed that the male had last been observed at 9:45am. The OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and K-9 unit attended the scene to assist with the search. The OPP helicopter also attended and, at approximately 6:30pm, was able to locate the male a few concessions from the residence.
The male was transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures.
