(RYERSON TWP, ON) On Thursday December 5, 2013 the Almaguin Highland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a Ryerson Township female for obstructing police.
On Tuesday November 5, 2013 the female assisted a male suspect by avoiding police apprehension when she attempted to drive him into the Village of Burk’s Falls. When the vehicle she was driving approached a police vehicle checkpoint the suspect got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Police charged and later released the female, Christie TRAHAN (42) of Ryerson Township with Obstruct Peace Officer and Accessory After the Fact to Commit an Indictable Offence, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is to appear in Sundridge Court on Thursday January 30, 2014.
