(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at approximately 12:50 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received several calls from motorists reporting there was a large quantity of nails deposited on Hwy. 10, south of Flesherton, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. One vehicle sustained a flat tire as a result of driving over the nails.
Police attended and cleared the roadway of several hundred roofing and framing nails, deck screws, and several large pieces of wood with nails protruding from both sides. The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) was notified.
