OBSTRUCT POLICE OFFICER

On Saturday February 8th, 2014 at 6:16pm Barrie OPP members responded to a domestic complaint at Carriage Hills Resort in Oro-Medonte Twp.

Officers attended and found that a couple had been arguing over money, however the male party repeatedly lied to police about his identity. A Police check revealed that the male was out on release conditions before the court.

A 26-year old Brampton man has been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer. He was held for bail and is scheduled to appear at Provincial Court in Barrie Monday, February 10th 2014.

The Barrie OPP reminds you that Domestic Violence is everyone’s business. Whether you are at the centre of the abuse, a family member, relative, neighbour or just live in the community, we all have a responsibility to stop this crime. As a community we must be ready to recognize Domestic Violence and be willing to report it.
