(Brockville, ON) – On the 6th of December, 2013 Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds County were called to a car in the ditch at the corner of 1000 Island Parkway and Brockmere Cliff Drive in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township.
At around 8:30 p.m. on the 6th of December 2013 a passerby reported a car in the ditch at that location.
O.P.P. officers attended the scene. Investigation showed that the car had left the roadway and struck the guide rails on the shoulder of the road, removing several posts from the ground.
The car, a black 1999 Pontiac then flipped over and landed on its roof in the ditch.
Initially the driver could not be located when officer first arrived at the scene.
The driver later returned to the scene.
There were no injuries reported.
The driver, a 29 year old male from Elizabethtown-Kitley Township has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
