Numerous Break and Enters And Thefts From Vehicles

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reminds citizens to protect their property. Watch for suspicious people or activity in your neighbourhood, and report to police immediately; lock your vehicles at all times; remove or secure valuables out of sight; keep garage and entry doors secured.

On May 2, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter incident to a shed at a residence on Winter Road, in the Municipality of Adelaide-Metcalfe, Ontario. Tools and scrap metal were stolen. On May 2, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft overnight of cash and cheques, from a Kia car, parked on Woodvale Drive, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario.

On May 3, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft of tools overnight, from a Ford pickup truck, which was parked at a residence on Westbrook Drive, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario.

On May 3, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a theft from a vehicle overnight. Suspects damaged the back window of a black Nissan car parked on Daventry Way, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario, and stole clothing and electronics.

On May 3, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a theft from a trailer parked on Dundas Street, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario. Between approximately 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on April 30, 2016, suspect(s) stole a video game unit.

On May 4, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft overnight from a Toyota pickup truck parked on Village Gate Crescent, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario. The rear driver’s side window was broken, and a gym bag containing clothing was stolen.

On May 5, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft from a vehicle, which was parked at a school on School Road, in the Municipality of Adelaide Metcalfe, Ontario. Between approximately 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. a purse and its contents were stolen.

On May 5, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft from a Jeep sport utility vehicle (SUV) parked at a residence on Blackburn Crescent, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Sporting equipment and a chainsaw were stolen between May 1, 2016 and May 3, 2016.

On May 6, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft from a Hyundai SUV, which was parked at a residence on Hamilton Road overnight. Lottery tickets and jewelry were stolen.

On May 6, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP responded to a report of a break and enter incident to a building under construction on Medway Road, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Tools and equipment were stolen overnight.

On May 6, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft, which occurred between 5:00 a.m. and 5:45 a.m., from a Dodge van, parked at a residence on Byron Avenue, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario. A wallet and its contents were stolen.

On May 7, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP responded to a report of a break and enter incident to a detached garage on Westminster Drive, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario. A green Arctic Cat all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and sporting equipment were stolen.

On May 12, 2016, at approximately 1:16 a.m., the Middlesex County OPP responded to a theft from a work trailer, parked at a residence on Trafalgar Street, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario. Tools and equipment were stolen.

On May 14, 2016, the OPP received a report of a theft overnight from a Ford SUV, which was parked at a residence on Gore Road, in the Municipality of Thames Centre, Ontario. Sunglasses and an umbrella were stolen.
