The couple spent the night apart and no criminal charges resulted from the investigation.
Northumberland OPP also conducted four RIDE programs, investigated nine motor vehicle collisions and 34 traffic related complaints.
Police would like to remind the public that an unlocked vehicle is an open invitation to a thief to steal any contents or the vehicle itself. Guard yourself against being a victim by locking your car whether you are shopping, visiting friends or leaving it overnight in your driveway. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle at any time. A stolen wallet/purse can have far reaching consequences when credit cards are fraudulently used or identification is used for criminal purposes.
