Signs of our failed amalgamation are visible everywhere as potholes, road weeds, leaky dam, falling stop lights, missing and rotted guardrails, no fire suppression system for town hall, etc etc. North Huron council claims we have no money to fix things, and we have to live with the rot and decay and to stop asking when things will get fixed.
At the 18April2016 council meeting they gave away a quarter million dollars to the hospital.
The hospital doesn’t need our charity. If council didn’t give them $250,000.00 no one would die, and no dangerous conditions would go unaddressed at the hospital. On the other hand, North Huron has numerous potentially fatal conditions that must be addressed as soon as they decide to start holding department heads to account and can “find” the money.
