(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Beginning in December of 2015 and concluding in April 2016 the Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime – Drug Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation into the cocaine distribution in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
During this period the following persons were arrested and charged with the following offences:
Donald DUPUIS, 46 years of age of Beaverton, charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
o Traffick in Cocaine contrary to section 5(1) of the CDSA
o Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Robert GLOVER, 58 years of age of Lindsay, charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
o Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) CCC
Candace KING, 28 years of age of Lindsay, charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA (two counts)
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
o Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) CCC
Tyler LITTLE, 25 years of age of Scarborough, charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA (two counts)
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
o Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) CCC
Tre SMITH-WARD, 21 years of age, of Scarborough, charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA (two counts)
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
o Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
o Breach of Probation Order contrary to section 75 of the Provincial Offences Act (POA)
Nathan REEDS, 37 years of age, of Peterborough is charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
o Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
o Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking contrary to section 145(5.1) CCC
Amy PHILP, 35 years of age of Omemee, is charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
Neveille HERCULES, 38 years of age of Scarborough, is charged with:
o Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to section 5(2) CDSA (two counts)
o Possession of Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) CDSA (two counts)
o Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Through the investigation two vehicles were seized and the total value of drugs seized is estimated at $36,000.
All accused persons have made appearances in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.
