At the 02May2016 North Huron Council meeting Jeffrey H. Molenhuis was appointed as North Huron’s new Director Of Public Works. It is not known if kelly church has officially “resigned/moved on” yet. Hopefully our new Directory Of Public Works will consider clearing sidewalks in our Community Safety Zones in the winter, and our Community’s children will no longer have to walk in traffic to get to school.
Surprisingly this isn’t the only good news from the Council meeting. Wingham Town Hall will be getting a fire suppression system! In 2017 the Theatre at Town Hall should be open, Famous Players can return along with bus loads of Tourists! This fire suppression system is being made possible by a $30,000 Trillium grant, NOT by Council cutting wasteful spending.
