This morning several readers contacted us with a photo of a fully marked OPP cruiser going the wrong way on Veterans/Diagonal Rd in Wingham. This obviously endangered the Public. At this time we are not aware of any collisions or pedestrian injuries due to this complete disregard for Public Safety.
Why are we so harsh? We all know if it was a member of the Public they would be charged, and their name would likely released via PR. It’s bad enough our former director of public works forced our children to walk in the streets, now they have to dodge OPP cruisers that have zero regard for traffic safety and law.
This officer should be identified and charged to prove they are not above the law and willing to be held to account by the Public they are paid to Serve AND Protect.
