NOISE COMPLAINT LEADS POLICE TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a business on Young Street in the Town of New Tecumseth for a noise complaint at 1:27am on October 26, 2013. Police attended and the business complied with Police the request to turn down the music.

Police stayed in the area and less than an hour later, Police stopped one of the patrons of the business who got behind the wheel of his vehicle and began to leave the parking lot on King Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Police stopped the Dodge Dakota to conduct an investigation. The driver was arrested and brought to the Nottawasaga Detachment to complete a breath test.

Charged is 32 year old Caledon resident Christopher CROXON, he is charged with Over 80 mgs and Impaired Driving under the Criminal Code of Canada, his license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded. An upcoming court date has been scheduled for November 21, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford, Ontario to deal with these charges.
