(NORTH BAY, ON) – On March 6, at 10:31 p.m. the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint from a motorist travelling westbound on Highway (HWY) 17 in East Ferris Township (TWP). OPP responded and the motor vehicle was located and stopped on HWY 94.
Nicholas SEGUIN 29, of East Ferris TWP was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC). He was also charged with drive motor vehicle with over 80mgs contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the North Bay Court of Justice on March 14, 2017.
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
