MOTORCYCLE CRASH Road Re-Opened

(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

At approximately 1:58 p.m. on September 25, 2014, a black 2009 Yamaha motorcycle was travelling north bound on Kerwood Road. As he crested the 402 overpass, the lone rider lost control of the vehicle, for yet to be determined reasons, and crashed, coming to rest on the west side of Kerwood Road, north of the 402 off ramp.

The driver, a 36 year old male from London, Ontario, was transported by ambulance to hospital with serious injuries. There is no update on the driver’s condition at this time.

Kerwood Road was closed from Mulilfarry Drive to Egremont Road to assist with the investigation. Additionally, the Highway 402 westbound off and on ramps were closed.

The incident has been investigated by the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI).

Kerwood Road, and the Highway 402 ramps, have now been re-opened.
