(ENGLEHART, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on March 27, 2014 at approximately 6:18 p.m.
A tractor trailer unit was southbound on Highway 11 in Armstrong Township when a car pulled in front of the tractor trailer unit onto Highway 11. The tractor trailer jackknifed and collided with a northbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV is a 54-year-old Englehart man that was brought to the hospital by ambulance where he was later escorted to Sudbury for further examination for his injuries.
Other drivers involved were not injured. There were no passengers in the vehicles.
The investigation continues with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit. Highway 11 was closed for approximately 8.5 hours.
The investigation is ongoing.
