More Impaired Drivers Busted

(Napanee, ON)- On Friday, October 14, 2016 at 8 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle in the ditch on County Road 8 south of Napanee.

The driver of the vehicle, 68 year-old Edward YOUNG of Napanee was arrested and subsequently charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs. He is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ) in Napanee on November 1, 2016.

On Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:35 p.m. OPP were notified of a suspected impaired driver leaving the Beer Store in Napanee.

Police located the vehicle and driver nearby. Charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drug is 22 year-old Liam BURNS of Wellington. He is scheduled to appear in the OCJ in Napanee on November 15, 2016.

On Sunday, October 16, at approximately 4 p.m. and officer with the Napanee OPP checked a vehicle parked at the ONroute located along Highway 401 westbound near Napanee.

The driver of the vehicle was given an alcohol roadside screening device test and failed. He was taken to the Napanee OPP detachment for further breath tests and charged with over 80 mgs. 45 year-old Shaun ROMINGER of Waterloo is scheduled to appear in the OCJ in Napanee on November 8, 2016.

On October 16, 2016 at 7:17 p.m. an officer with the Napanee OPP stopped a pick-up truck in Newburgh after the driver failed to stop for a stop sign.

The driver, 22 year-old Dylan GROOMS of Napanee was arrested and subsequently charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs. He is scheduled to appear in the OCJ in Napanee on Nov 22, 2016.
