Missing Senior

(SMITHS FALLS, ON.) – Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) are searching for a missing 80-year-old male who suffers from dementia.

Uwe REHER, age 80, left his Oshawa residence on Wednesday, July 22 at 2 p.m., in his own vehicle. He was supposed to attend a doctor’s appointment at 3:15 p.m. in Ajax but never arrived. REHER suffers from dementia and other medical issues, and his family is concerned for his safety.

It is possible REHER is headed towards Ottawa. He was last seen filling his car with gas in Mallorytown yesterday at 11:30 p.m.

He is described as a male, white, 5’ 9” tall and 240 lbs. He is heavy set with thin grey hair and a tattoo of an anchor on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with red lettering that reads “I (heart) NY”, blue shorts and slip-on shoes. REHER speaks with a thick German accent.

His vehicle is described as: a four-door, red, Chevrolet Cruz with the license plate 251 WZC
