(Madoc, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit along with the Central Hastings OPP detachment have charged a Madoc man following a year-long on-line child pornography investigation.
On July 22, 2015 police from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Technological Crime Unit and the Central Hastings OPP detachment executed a search warrant at a Madoc residence. As a result of this investigation, 2 computer devices and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized. Some of the items seized contained images of child sexual abuse.
Darryll SLAIN age 51 years, of Madoc Ontario is charged with:
Make Available Child Pornography – one count
Possession of Child Pornography –one count
Accessing Child Pornography – one count
Careless storage of a firearm – one count
Unauthorized possession of a firearm – one count
The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, July 23rd, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
