(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded their search for 65 year old Raymond HORBATY of Kenora
On Thursday, September 15, 2016 around 12:20 pm members of Mr.HORBATY’s family contacted the Kenora OPP and advised they were concerned for his well-being. He was last known to be at his cottage on an island on Dogtooth Lake, east of Kenora and his family had not heard from him since the evening of September 14, 2016.
The Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Northwest Region Crime Unit, Kenora Marine and Trails Unit (MTU) and helicopter from the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) were involved in the search.
At 11:00 am on Friday, September 16, 2016 members of the ERT and MTU located the subject deceased in the water very close to his last known location. A post mortem examination will be performed in Kenora at a date to be determined. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
