(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a single motorcycle collision at a Front Road, Port Rowan, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, September 9, 2016 at approximately 8:36 p.m., OPP were contacted by concerned family members regarding an overdue motorcyclist that had not returned home after attending the Port Rowan area.
The motorcycle and operator were subsequently located in a ravine area off the roadway on Front Road.
Through the course of investigation, it has determined that an orange coloured Honda motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Front Road when the driver failed to negotiate the turn in the roadway. The motorcycle left the roadway and entered the south ditch coming to rest in a ravine.
As a result, 66-year-old Christopher STARR from Brant County, Ontario suffered serious life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the attending coroner.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators assisted with the investigation.
Front Road was closed between Townline Road and East Quarter Line Road for approximately 4 hours to allow for police investigation.
