(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On September 1, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to a 75 year old female who had wandered away from her residence in the former Laxton Township. Officers attended and a search was initiated.
The OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K-9 unit attended the scene to assist with the search. The ERT members and K-9 unit located the female party a short time after their arrival on scene. The female was transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures.
