Michael DANNA 120 in a 50

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver from Grand Bend for driving over twice the posted speed limit.

On September 4, 2013 at approximately 5:54 p.m. an OPP officer was patrolling Hyde Park Road by Maplewood Lane in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre when a northbound white Chevrolet Silverado truck was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. The officer measured the vehicle to be travelling 120 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted and as a result of the investigation, police have charged Michael DANNA, age 39 of Grand Bend, ON under the stunt drive legislation. The Chevrolet truck was impounded and the driver’s licence was suspended for seven days. The driver was issued a Part III Summons to appear in a London Court to answer to the charge.
