(TINY TOWNSHIP) – On July 22, 2016 at 5:14 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from a concerned citizen regarding a motor vehicle stuck in a ditch on County Road 6 South in Tiny Township.
The driver of the motor vehicle smelled of alcohol and was given a roadside test which resulted in a ‘Fail’. She was arrested and taken to the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment for further tests. As a result of the tests, Melissa MILLER (age 36) of Springwater Township has been charged with:
Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Driving while ability impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had her vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 4, 2016 in Midland, ON
