On Friday the 2nd of August 2013 at approximately 01:30 a.m., while conducting a speed enforcement initiative on Highway 417 in the eastbound lane. Constables Faille and Cormier of the Hawkesbury OPP observed a silver Acura Integra from Ontario approach at a high rate of speed, this was then confirmed by an approved speed measuring device as being 126 km/hr in a posted 100 km/hr zone. The vehicle was stopped and after an interaction with the driver the officer had grounds to believe that the driver had blood alcohol content over the legal limit, which lead to his arrest, police investigation also revealed that the driver and passenger were in possession of illegal drugs.

Section 128 Adult speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted limit
