(Ottawa, ON) –The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged the driver of a motor vehicle after an incident that occurred on Highway 417 westbound near Metcalfe Street.
On December 5, 2015, at approximately 2:22 am, a pick up truck struck a parked sign truck in the right hand lane.
The investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking.
The male driver, 35 year old Matthew HUMHPREYS of Ottawa, was charged with:
• Impaired Driving and
• Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol
He is scheduled to appear in Ottawa Court on January 26, 2016.
