(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male motorist yesterday morning as a result of a collision in The Blue Mountains.
On the 16th of December 2015 shortly before 7:00am, OPP officers as well as Grey County paramedics were dispatched to reports of a single motor vehicle collision into a utility pole on Bridge Street East in the area of Bruce Street North. Investigation at scene found that the male motorist was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently transported by paramedics to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Charged is 24 year-old Mathew MCCOLOUGH of The Blue Mountains, he is charged with Criminal Code offences of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and drive a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 7th of January 2016.
