(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Tuesday November 19, at approximately 4:25 pm officers from the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a motor vehicle stuck in a restaurant drive through on Bridge Street in Selwyn Township.
Attending officers located a Volvo and a female driver stuck in the drive through at a MacDonald’s Restaurant, in Lakefield. The Vehicle was found to be stuck on a concrete curb were the driver had inadvertently mounted while in the drive through.
As a result of the investigation 66 year old female driver Mary CARTWELL of Peterborough was arrested and charged with Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample.
CARTWELL was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on December 19, 2013.
