(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after a vehicle entry was reported at a Talbot Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2013 between 8:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., unknown suspects proceeded to enter the back of a pick-up truck that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Once inside, unknowns removed a Matthews Helium compound bow, camouflage in colour along with five arrows. Suspects also removed a walnut coloured case that contained a World War II shotgun.
The shotgun can be described as having a 27†barrel, with two barrels stacked on top of each other. It had a walnut stock with a 1/2†gouge in the end of the stock and contained silver sides that had engraving of fields and birds. The gun was contained in a walnut case that had red velvet lining.
The owner would greatly appreciate the return both items especially the shotgun which has sentimental value.
