(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On July 19, 2014 at 11:53 p.m., officers from Warren Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a marine collision on Lake Nipissing.
At the time of the call members from West Nipissing Fire Service, West Nipissing Police Service, Anishinabek Police Service, OPP and local volunteers began a search for the missing male.
The OPP continues to investigate with the assistance of the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU), Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI), and Marine Units.
On 20 July, 2014 at approximately 12:30PM the USRU recovered the body the missing male. The name of the male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
