(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Sunday July 20, 2014, around 5:10 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a two vehicle crash on Perth Road 113 (Embro Road), north of Line 20.
Investigation indicated that a south bound Pontiac Grand Am crossed over into the north bound lane where it collided head-on with a north bound full sized Chevrolet van. The impact resulted in injuries to the occupants of both vehicles.
The Grand Am had two adults and a child as occupants, while the van had two adults and five children.
The child passenger in the Grand Am was airlifted to a London Hospital with major injuries. The adult passenger of the van was also airlifted to a London Hospital with major injuries. The remaining 8 injured persons were transported to a local hospital.
Perth Road 113 between Line 26 and Line 20 is expected to remain closed until 11:30 p.m. on Sunday July 20, 2014. This will allow the Perth County OPP and the OPP Western Region Traffic Collision Investigation Unit to safely investigate this collision.
