(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 19, 2014 at approximately 12:39 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers investigated the driver of a 2004 Pontiac for committing a Highway Traffic Act offence on Wellington Road 18 just east of Ninth Street in Centre Wellington Township.
After a thorough police investigation it was revealed that the driver had falsely identified himself to officers by providing his brother’s information instead of his own. The driver was also found to be in possession of marihuana as well as disqualified from driving and suspended from driving.
Luca LUCENTE age 38 of Maple has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Obstruct Peace Officer and Drive While Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, Speeding and Drive While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 25, 2014 to answer to the charges.
