(LITTLE CURRENT, ON) – On Tuesday August 5, 2014, at 9:15 pm, the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a shed fire on Blake Street West, in Little Current.
NEMI Fire Department was called to respond to the fire which occurred behind a vacant residence. A wooden shed, located in the yard behind the residence, was destroyed by fire. An investigation is being conducted by members of the Manitoulin Island OPP in cooperation with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office.
This fire is one of a series which have taken place in the general vicinity over the past two months and investigators consider the fires to be suspicious.
Police are asking people in the area to be aware of the fires, and to report anything they have of concern which may be related to these incidents.
