Man Injured While Confronting Home Invaders – Suspect Descriptions Released

(GARDEN RIVER FIRST NATION, ON) – On September 6, 2015 at approximately 3:50 a.m. Anishinabek Police Service with the assistance of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Canine Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit attended a residence in the 100 block of Hiawatha Drive regarding a break and enter.

Two males forcefully entered a residence and demanded items from the homeowner. Once inside, a struggle ensued between the homeowner and the suspects. Both suspects then fled on foot. The male victim was transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with non-life threatening injuries.

The outstanding males are described as:

stalky build

approximately 5’10” and 5’7”

dressed in black and wearing balaclavas.
