Man Charged with Property Related Offences

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

In October 2013, police entered into a fraud investigation. It is alleged that a man obtained credit cards from a residence in Chatham. With the stolen credit cards, the man attended two businesses in Chatham and made purchases. In December 2013, the man was located and arrested for the offences of forgery and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released from custody with several conditions pending a future court date.

On January 7, 2014, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Yesterday afternoon, police located the man in Wallaceburg and he was arrested. The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man has been released from custody pending a future court date.
