The Chatham-Kent police have charged a man in connection with a domestic violence investigation.
Yesterday afternoon, a Chatham woman reported several historical incidents of domestic violence to police. It is alleged that during their 3-year relationship, the man assaulted, choked and threatened her.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. police located the man on Harvey Street and he was arrested. The 35-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault x4, assault with a weapon, overcoming resistance to commit indictable offence and uttering threats. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
