Male Charged For Pointing Firearm

(KENORA, ON) Two men are facing charges following a report of a man with a handgun on Friday April 10, 2015. In the early morning hours of April 10, shortly after 2:00 am, the Kenora OPP was notified a man was observed with a handgun on his person in downtown Kenora. Police attended and located two men on Main Street. Both subjects were arrested and the investigation revealed the suspects had been in an altercation earlier in the evening with another man after breaking the window of a vehicle. One of the suspects had pointed a firearm at another man. The handgun was determined to be an imitation firearm.

As a result of this investigation 19 year old Christian SINCLAIR of Wauzhushk Onigum (Rat Portage) has been charged with Pointing a Firearm contrary to section 87 of the Criminal Code (CC) and Mischief Under $5000 contrary to section 430(4) CC. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. 19 year old Hector HOWSON of Fort Severn FNT has also been charged with Mischief contrary to section 430(4) CC. He is to appear in Kenora Court on April 30, 2015 to answer to the charge.
