(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Kenora woman for an Impaired Driving offence following a vehicle stop on January 10, 2014. Shortly after 3:00 am on Friday January 10, 2014 OPP officers were advised that a vehicle had struck a pole in a parking lot in downtown Kenora. Police attended and located the vehicle and noted the female driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported for breath tests
As a result of this investigation 35 year old Lorenda KOKOPENACE of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle and Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle With More than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is to appear in Kenora Court on February 6, 2014 to answer to the charge.
