Lionel Evan BEAUCHAMP – Drunk Driving

(TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE, ON) – On June 19, 2015 at 3:31 a.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Simcoe County Paramedics were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Champlain Road in the Town of Penetanguishene.

The two male occupants were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Investigation of the collision found the male driver had been drinking. As a result, Lionel Evan BEAUCHAMP (age 26) has been charged with:

– Driving While Ability Impaired sec 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

– Care or Control Over 80 mgs sec 253(1)(b) of the Criminal code of Canada

The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 9, 2015 in Midland, Ontario.

The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
