(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On June 19, 2015, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Queens Line.
Just before 11:30 p.m., the officer observed a westbound Toyota Camry that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered a speed of approximately 171 km/hr.
The 18 year old male driver from Milton has been charged with racing. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
