(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On Sunday April 20th, at approximately 10 am, Constable Mario Bourgeois of the Hawkesbury OPP was performing radar patrol on Highway 417 when he observed a 2014 black Jeep Patriot rolling at a speed of 155km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The vehicle was intercepted where the driver, who was from Massachusetts, was immediately suspended for 7 days and the rental car he had was impounded for 7 days.
Leon R. SAINT-CYR (47 yrs old) of Bridgewater, Massachusetts was charged under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with section 172(1) Stunt driving – excessive speed of 155 Km/h in a posted 100 zone.
Saint-Cyr is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal on June 5th.
