(Brockville,ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds County had a busy weekend investigating collisions.
The O.P.P. in Leeds County investigated around 57 collisions between the 20th and 22nd of December. There were 27 collisions reported on the Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Then on the 21st of December 17 collisions were reported and 15 collisions reported on Sunday the 22nd of December
Leeds Grenville Ambulance were called to two of the collisions one on the 20th and one on the 21st. The drivers in those collisions were treated and released at the scene with minor injuries.
The O.P.P would like to remind the public to take extra care when driving in winter weather. Some things to remember as well, allow yourself extra time to arrive at your destination. Give yourself extra space between you and the vehicle ahead of you. Making sure your vehicle is winter ready can keep you safe. Let someone know your route plan in case you should break down or need assistance.
