(RED LAKE, ON) – On September 21st, 2014 the Red Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) were conducting an investigation into a shipment of prescription medication that was expected to arrive at the Red Lake Airport. Police located and seized various types of prescription medication with an estimated street value of $9500.
As a result of the investigation Gilles PELLETIER, age 59 of Petit Rocher, News Brunswick was charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking of a controlled substance contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
