(BRIGHTON, ON) – On July 2, 2014 at approximately 12 noon, Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an erratic driver in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Brighton.
The vehicle was located by police a short time later and the driver arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Kyle Ritchie age 26 of Oromocto New Brunswick is charged with the following offences:
– Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
– Driving while over 80mg
– Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
He also had his driver’s licence suspended for a 90 day period and his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
Ritchie was released and is scheduled to appear on July 23, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Cobourg.
