During the week of the 4 July 2016, to the 10 July 2016, there were 117 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.
There were fifteen motor vehicle collisions, six were animal related.
There were five domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 4 July 2016, to the 10 July 2016. There were no domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.
Assault/Mischief Charges
On the 10 July 2016 at approximately 1:56 a.m., members of the Killaloe OPP received a call of a disturbance on Kiwita Inamo, on the Pikwakanagan First Nation. Subsequent to officer investigation, 37 yr. old Margaret Ann LAVALLEE of Pikwakanagan First Nation has been charged with Assault, section 266, and Mischief to Property section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions, with a court date at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
Moose Collision
On the 05 July 2016 at approximately 10:47 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Brandon Cassibo received a call of a single motor vehicle collision involving a moose on Highway # 41, Bonnechere Valley Twp. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. The vehicle sustained major damages and was towed.
On the 07 July 2016 at approximately 5: 06 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Devin Leeworthy received a call of a motor vehicle collision on Highway # 60 in Algonquin Provincial Park. As a result of the investigation, police have charged 21 yr. old Adam FANCY of Toronto with Careless Driving section 130, Young Driver with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Above Zero, section 44.1(5) and Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence, section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was issued three provincial offence act notices and the vehicle towed.
Theft
On the 09 July 2016 at approximately 5:50 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Chris Teasdale received a theft call on Grist Mill Road, in North Algona Wilberforce Twp. Several lawn ornaments were stolen from the property. This incident remains under investigation.
On the 07 July 2016 at approximately 10:22 p.m., members of the Killaloe OPP received a theft call on Queen Street in Bonnechere Valley Twp. A fire pit was stolen from the front lawn of the residence. This incident remains under investigation.
On the 10 July 2016 at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Killaloe OPP received a theft call on Bonnechere St West, Bonnechere Valley Twp. A Thrust Minnkoda boat motor was stolen from a boat stored in the backyard. This incident remains under investigation.
Mischief
On the 08 July 2016 at approximately 9:07 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Andrew Wierzbicki received a mischief to property call on Stafford Street in Madawaska Valley Twp. A motor vehicle had been keyed and sustained damages. Police are reviewing the video footage. This incident remains under investigation.
