(ARMOUR TWP) On Saturday August 31, 2013 officers from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial police was patrolling Highway 11, Armour Township when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Police stopped the vehicle and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police detachment where he was later released.
Police charged Kenneth VARGO (39) of Welland, Ontario with drive with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is to appear in Sundridge Court on Tuesday September 24, 2013.
