(PETROLIA, ON) – On Sunday August 30th, 2015, at approximately 11:59 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information of a possible impaired driver in the area of Venetian Boulevard, Village of Point Edward.
Lambton OPP located the suspected motor vehicle a short time later on Venetian Boulevard, Village of Point Edward and conducted a traffic stop. The OPP officer formed the opinion that the female driver of the motor vehicle was impaired due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The female driver was consequently arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP – Corunna Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings more than three times the legal limit.
As a result, 47 year-old Kelsy BABIN of Sarnia, ON was charged for

Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood
The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday September 14, 2015.
The OPP rely on the public to report crime and impaired driving is a crime that should be treated no differently. If you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1 if they insist.
