(Napanee, ON)- On Friday, August 28th, 2015 just after 1:00 a.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a black Nissan Armada SUV on Highway 401 eastbound near Shannonville Road after receiving two complaints from concerned motorists about the vehicle being driven erratically.
The vehicle driver, 52 year-old Glenn BOYD of Halton Hills, was arrested at the scene for impaired driving and subsequently charged with impaired driving by drug, contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
BOYD is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on September 29th.
(Napanee, ON) – On Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 2:21 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a beige Buick Regal on Highway 401 westbound near Walbridge-Loyalist Road, Belleville after a concerned motorist contacted police about the vehicle swerving all over the road.
The vehicle driver, 55 year-old Elizabeth NEVINS, of Parry Sound, was arrested and charged with impaired driving by drug.
NEVINS is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on October 6th.
(Napanee,ON)- On Sunday, August 30th, 2015 at 4:55 p.m. an officer with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a
grey GMC pick-up truck on Centre Street, Town of Greater Napanee.
Upon speaking with the vehicle driver the officer detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver was given a roadside alcohol screening device and arrested for over 80 mgs.
Charged with over 80 mgs is 22 year-old Levi GREEN of Tyendinaga Territory.
GREEN is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on October 14th.
